The Arc of NC and the Autism Society of NC, with support from NC DHHS, are piloting a Project ECHO™ program targeting primary care providers (physicians, FNPs, PAs) across North Carolina who support adolescents and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and would like to enhance their expertise in working with this population.

Didactic Topics will include:

• Effective Communication
• Linking People with IDD and Autism to Community Services
• The Fatal Five in IDD and Autism
• Conducting Assessments based on behavior changes
• Transition from pediatric to adult care
• Sexual Health and Sexuality
• Health Promotion and Screening Recommendations
• Management of Medication Side Effects
